I think if you look back in the Archives of this blog you will see a discussion of the decision but it comes down to me feeling like I get more out of the process of making photographs with the bigger camera and that they force me to pay attention to what I am doing.
Thomas, As a big fan and also 8x10 Deardorff shooter, may I ask about how many sheets you do on a typical shoot like this? I generally work the shot on the digital tethered, then when I think I almost have it, I switch up to the Deardorff for the final shots. I try to get it in 4-5 sheets + the test sheet.

I use the 4x5 to shoot polaroid and then shoot 10-20 sheets depending on light. thanks thomas
