I just saw the social network and was struck how spot on Jesse Eisenberg's performance was. I have photographed Zuckerberg a couple times and found him to be incredibly shy and withdrawn. The first time I shot him I think they had three employees. Here is a shot from a couple years ago.

I saw a clip of the movie on Colbert Report (deposition at Harvard) and was shocked at how many words "Zuck" spoke in the scene. The couple of times I met him, I got the same impression as you—he is impossibly shy and self-concious.
It’s nice to know the acting in the whole movie isn’t like that one scene.
(By "met", I think we only exchanging about 20 words to each other max between two years. So if it's hard to call it that…)
